Sustainable Printing: SunDance's 2023 SGP Summary

At SunDance, we are committed to protecting the environment and take our role as a sustainable print and packaging manufacturer very seriously. Every year, we aim to be more sustainable than the last, and 2023 was no exception. As the first SGP-certified Offset Printer in Florida, we are proud to continuously implement sustainable solutions for environmentally efficient manufacturing processes. In accordance with SGP standards, we undertake an annual continuous improvement project or projects to show our commitment to sustainable practices.

SunDance and OneBlood Team Up for Blood Drive

SunDance and OneBlood recently teamed up for a blood drive to help save more lives in our community. Every two seconds someone needs blood which is why blood donation is always in critical need. OneBlood is a not-for-profit blood center that provides safe, available, and affordable blood to more than 280 hospital partners and their patients. It distributes more than 1.5 million blood products annually and serves most of Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and parts of Southern Georgia. Since 2007, SunDance has achieved year-over-year growth of approximately 24% in a downsizing and changing industry. Robo Mud Run

Our SunDance team completed the 2017 Robo Mud Run — a 10k challenge course with 52 obstacles, hosted by the St. Cloud Police Department to benefit the We Dare To Care Foundation. This year’s course included a rock climbing wall, rings over a mud bog, horizontal mud crawls, and a 100-yard swim. Extreme team building for a good cause — it’s a win-win!

SunDance goes paintballing

It's been said a team that shoots paintballs at one another is a team that can accomplish anything! Well, it's possible we just made it up ourselves but we definitely believe it. In fact, several members of the team took to the field with paint guns in hand. After 5 complete games within 4 hours and a bunch of bruises, we're ready to do it again another day.

Teamwork and collaboration are not only learned on the job but also outside through recreational events such as this one. We work harder, play harder, and get up each day eager to do it all over again

Continuous Improvement Employee Training Events

SunDance Hosts Continuous Improvement Employee Training Events

Sundance plotted a new course in 2015 to raise the bar and awareness of Continuous Improvement through Lean Manufacturing Techniques. One result of this course was the creation of the Continuous Improvement Team whose sole purpose is to receive feedback from employees, thoroughly vet all suggestions and feasibility while defining critical needs for implementation. All suggestions revolve around common themes of Lean Manufacturing – saving time and money. Employees receive recognition and awards for implemented suggestions at the company’s monthly meeting.
