SunDance launches SunDance University with a bang! SDU is committed to bringing quality educational content on a variety of subjects. The goal of these classes is to provide clients with insights, ideas and inspiration to help drive their business to the next level. Topics will range from Marketing, Design, Printing (offset and digital), large format, fulfillment and integrating storefronts as an enterprise solution.
SunDance Visits Discovery Cove
SunDance acknowledges their single greatest asset to be their employees and rewarded them with a day off at SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove. The day was filled with food, fun and more importantly the SunDance Family. Employees were treated to all the amenities Discovery Cove offers, including the dolphin experience. A day of relaxing and soaking up the sun was enjoyed by everyone.

SunDance Hosts Continuous Improvement Employee Training Events
Sundance plotted a new course in 2015 to raise the bar and awareness of Continuous Improvement through Lean Manufacturing Techniques. One result of this course was the creation of the Continuous Improvement Team whose sole purpose is to receive feedback from employees, thoroughly vet all suggestions and feasibility while defining critical needs for implementation. All suggestions revolve around common themes of Lean Manufacturing – saving time and money. Employees receive recognition and awards for implemented suggestions at the company’s monthly meeting.
SunDance's Successful Expedition
SunDance was featured in the September 2016 issue of Sign Builder Illustrated. The article by Gregroy Sharpless showcased the world of SunDance’s Large Format division, along with some of the higher profile jobs, as well as gave a comprehensive overview of the company’s journey to becoming Orlando’s premiere Large Format print shop.

Video - Laser Engraving & Etching
Innovation is more than just a theory here at Sundance. We regularly try new materials, new equipment and new procedures. Especially when clients enlist our help in making their idea a reality. A great client of ours came to us and he wanted to see if we could laser etch his logo into a wooden wine box. We jumped right into testing it and ended up with some amazing results. Not only could we do the top like he requested, but we figured out how to do the sides as well. We even figured out how to design artwork so that the box looked like it came from a large vineyard. Wine boxes are only the beginning too. We're doing picture frames and wooden spoons and other specialty items. Bring us an idea and we'll make it a reality. That's what we do here at Sundance.
We're Making Even More Orlando Strong Stickers
After the tragic events here in Orlando, our entire city found the strength to come together and power through the unthinkable, becoming stronger and more united than ever before. Here at SunDance, we were inspired to do what we could to help. We designed and printed “Orlando Strong” stickers to show our pride in our city, our community and every single one of its residents. We handed them out to clients, staff, friends and family, but had no idea how well they would be received.
The first ten thousand stickers are long gone and we are making even more. Just like the first batch, we have decided against selling them and instead suggest people donate to the OneOrlando Fund which was established to provide support to the Pulse victims and their families.
We’ve decided to make even more of the stickers and you can get yours free!
Video - Durability Testing
Our friends over at Superior Inks and Allied Graphics videoed the most recent batch of samples we sent them for durability testing, utilizing the Sutherland Rub Test machine. This machine rubs the stock together with another piece of stock on a weight to mimic wear and tear on a piece. This allows us to determine if the process, ink, colors, coating and finishing processes are the right fit for a specific job.
